                                               Contraindications *****

Please ensure that you are aware of these contraindications as follows before book Callus Peel treatment.

Pregnant women

We recommend that Callus Peel is not used if a client is pregnant as the hormones of pregnant women tend to be imbalanced. We suggest that you book her in for fabulous special offer Ultimate Pedicure when she has the baby and everything has calmed down.

Diabetes

We recommend that you take care, if you have a client who has Diabetes, before carrying out this treatment as you must be aware of potentially serious skin problems related to the disease. Most people who suffer from Diabetes are on controlled drugs. We do recommend that you let the client have a copy of the ingredients of the patches, which they may show to their GP, if they insist on having the Callus Peel treatment. Be very careful not to over file the feet. The ingredients of the Skin Soft Sachet and Moisture Creams are on our web site. If you require a copy to be emailed to you, kindly let me know. Some Salons have carried out the treatment on clients with Diabetes and have had no problems at all. We just want you to be aware of the risk of treating anyone with Diabetes before carrying out this treatment.

Psoriasis

If the area where the patch is to be applied is fine, then you can carry out the treatment, otherwise, if you have any doubts, do not proceed.

Questions & Answers

1. How long does it take?
To treat both feet, it takes only 20-25 minutes - 10-15 minutes for the patches to soften the skin and 5-10 minutes for the rest of the treatment.

2. How often should I have a treatment?
It depends on your lifestyle and what type of shoes you wear but we recommend a treatment every 2-3 weeks, although results are seen after the first treatment. Callus Peel is a treatment and not a cure.

3. Is it safe?
Yes. Callus Peel has been sold in the UK for over seven years.

4. Is it hygienic?
Yes. Your Beauty Therapist is fully qualified and will know all the procedures for hygiene. The Callus Peel Skin Softener (sachets) are individually packaged. The scraper, that is used to remove the callus, can be sterilised and the Foot File has replaceable pads.

5. Can it be used on other areas of the body?
No. The Callus Peel treatment must ONLY be used on the feet (heels, soles or the side of the big toe) where callus appears and must NOT be applied to areas where there isn't any callus. If in doubt, please contact us.

6. What are the main ingredients?
Skin Softener: Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Alcohol, Sodium Hydroxide, Carbomer, Citric Acid, Tartaric Acid and Lactic Acid.

Moisture Cream: Aqua (Water), Glyceryl Stearate & PEG 100 Stearate, Glycerin, Stearic Acid, Alcohol, Urea, Dimenthicone, Tocopheryl Acetate, Triethanolamine, Methylparaben, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil and Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil (parfum or aroma). Don't be alarmed by these as we use AHA's (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) on our face!

7. Does the treatment hurt?
No, it doesn't hurt at all - on the contrary, It feels like you are receiving a reflexology treatment. It will only hurt if you have cuts on your skin. Dry cracks are fine, as long as they are not weeping or bleeding.

8. Any side effects?
None, as Callus Peel is only for callused/dry areas on the feet.

9. Why do calluses appear?
Pressure applied to the feet over time causes the skin to harden and calluses to appear.
